科研方向主要涉及腫瘤新靶點的發現和鑒定,納米探針與載體藥物在腫瘤診斷和治療的應用研究。她提出納米酶新概念(Nature Nanotechnology 2007,單篇他引1000余次),并將其應用于腫瘤診斷及治療(Nature Nanotechnoloy 2012,PNAS 2014)的系統性研究成果獲國家自然科學獎二等獎。她發表研究論文140余篇,發明專利30項,部分專利已經進入美國、歐洲和日本并實現成果轉化。
